Bruce Eidem

Born into a musical family, Bruce Eidem began trombone lessons with his father, Orville, at age 10, and earned degrees from the New England Conservatory of Music and the Manhattan School of Music where he studied with Phil Wilson, John Coffey, John Swallow and Jack Gale. Adept in a wide range of styles, Bruce has become one of New York City’s most successful players. He has performed with the American Symphony Orchestra, the Orchestra of St Lukes, forty different Broadway shows and with over one hundred jazz bands including Buddy Rich, Lionel Hampton and Artie Shaw. He is a founding member of several ensembles including the Brass Arts Collective, the NewYorkestra and the New York Trombone Conspiracy. Among Bruce’s many recording credits are Broadway cast recordings, television/radio jingles, movie soundtracks and the 2004 Grammy Award winner with Wayne Shorter.
