Bass trombonist Brandt Attema has been committed to the Radio Philharmonic Orchestra of the Netherlands since 1999. He is also a member of the Nederlands Blazers Ensemble and the New Trombone Collective. In September 1999 Brandt Attema won the international concourse for bass trombone in France. Since then he has been performing as a soloist on a regular base. He was a soloist for example on the International Trombone Festivals of 2000, 2003, 2004 and 2005 and the Eastern Trombone Workshop 2006.

Since 2007 Brandt Attema is teaching on the Royal Conservatory of The Hague.

Brandt Attema studied with Ben van Dijk on the conservatory of Rotterdam, where he finished his masters in 2003 Cum Laude.
